Established in 1922, Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to serving the communities of Brentwood, North Brentwood, Colmar Manor, Cottage City, and Hyattsville, located in Prince George's County, Maryland. Our Department coverage area consist of Single Family, Town Homes, Apartments, Mixed Residential/ Retail, Commercial, Industrial, and Freight & Passenger Rail traffic from CSX, Amtrak, and MARC. As of June 30, 2024, the Paid Personnel provided by Prince George's County Fire & EMS Department were removed from our Station and reassigned to other Fire Station within the County. This move now leaves our Station with EMS Surge Units being utilized during Peak Hours from 07:00 - 23:00 - with Fire Response now being utilized by the Volunteers when available to Staff the Station, or by surrounding Departments tentatively until October 2024. We're currently looking for individuals that have a desire to serve their community as a Volunteer Firefighter/ EMT, EMS Only, or Administrative Members. All training and equipment are provided by the Department, with classes completed counting as College Credits from the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute.
