The Pittsford Fire Department has been proudly serving the citizens of Pittsford and Florence with Pride, Professionalism and Dedication since 1948. We currently respond out of 2 stations utilizing 8 pieces of apparatus which include 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, 1 Tanker, 1 Medium Duty Rescue, 1 Wildland/Brush Truck, and 1 Off-Road Utility Vehicle. The Pittsford Fire Department has an initial response area of approximately 45 square miles protecting roughly 3000 residents of Pittsford and Florence. The Pittsford Fire Department is also part of the Rutland County Fire Mutual Aid Association in which we provide mutual aid response to those departments in the county that request it, and when that comes into play, our secondary response area increases to nearly 300 square miles with a population of nearly 56,000. We are currently looking for a couple of people to join the Proctor Volunteer Fire Dept. The role would be as a Vermont State Certified firefighter, We will send you to the fire academy for your training. We also meet at the fire station monthly to provide training and work on Maintenace of the equipment. We meet on the first, second and third Monday of the month at 6pm. We typically respond to about 50 calls for service every year and they vary in nature. The West Rutland Fire Department has been providing emergency services to the Town of West Rutland since 1891. Our Department provides fire protection, hazardous materials response, and rescue services to the residents and visitors of West Rutland and our surrounding communities through mutual aid. We are staffed with approximately 20 volunteer/call firefighters who are on call and respond when an emergency occurs. The West Rutland Fire Department is well-equipped with a fleet of 6 on-road vehicles and 1 off-road vehicle, a full compliment of modern firefighting and rescue equipment, and dedicated Firefighters who pride themselves in their skills and community service. We are housed in a modern fire station and meet regularly to further our training. The Department answers approximately 100 emergency calls for service each year. Our members enjoy a close camaraderie in a friendly environment where everyone works together to serve our community. | Requirements: 1. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age; and 2. Must be physically fit and medically cleared to perform the duties of a Firefighter; and 3. Must be a legal resident of the Town of West Rutland; and 4. Prayer Agents offer spiritual support and comfort to osteosarcoma patients and their families. Volunteers will participate in prayer sessions and provide emotional support through faith-based activities.

As a Gamer Agent, volunteers engage with patients through gaming activities, providing companionship and entertainment to children affected by osteosarcoma. Volunteers will help organize and participate in gaming sessions.

Warrior Mail volunteers send encouraging letters and cards to osteosarcoma patients, offering them hope and support during their treatment journey. Volunteers will write and send personalized messages to patients.
