Clarkston Fire and Rescue is looking for hardworking individuals who are willing to serve their community. This is an opportunity to help your neighbors on their worst day. We provide training for: Emergency Vehicle Operation, Wild-land Firefighting, Structural Firefighting, Emergency Medical Technician, and Hazmat. We currently have openings for three volunteers. Volunteers help Suzy’s fill in the gap by providing transportation for seniors. Duties include driving clients to and from appointments, grocery stores, and other locations, offering friendly customer service, and assisting with wheelchairs or walkers.

Help with the care of cats, including cleaning, feeding, and providing socialization to feral and shy cats. Volunteers can also engage in administrative projects, fundraising, and marketing to support the sanctuary's mission.

Garland Fire is looking for individuals to fill paid-on-call firefighter and EMT positions. We are a smaller department looking for help responding to calls 24/7/365. We don't currently staff the station but respond as needed through pagers. We do pay on an hourly basis when you respond to calls. You can be involved with EMS, fire, as well as wildland firefighting. We will provide the training needed to become Utah Fire 1 and 2 certified, and NREMT EMT and/or AEMT licensed. | Requirements: Valid Utah driver's license. Pass a background check. Assist with organizing and guiding birding events at Tony Grove. Volunteers will help participants spot and identify various bird species, ensuring a safe and educational experience.

Assist in the distribution of free showy milkweed seedlings at various locations across Utah. Volunteers will help set up, manage, and distribute seedlings to the public during scheduled events.

Coordinate and assist in organizing 4-H events, ensuring smooth operations and engaging activities for youth participants. Volunteers will work closely with staff to plan and execute events.

Participate in the Pollinator and Firefly Monitoring Project. Volunteers will assist with setting pan traps and sweep netting, and for those with more training, identify and prep specimens for storage.

Assist with administrative tasks at the nature center. This role may involve data entry, answering phones, and other office-related tasks.

Assist or lead nature programs for a number of age groups. Volunteers will learn from experienced naturalists and develop new skills while cultivating a love for nature.

Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the nature center facilities. Tasks may include cleaning, repairs, and general maintenance.
