The Clayton Historical Society Museum is seeking volunteers to serve as greeters and docents on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2:00-4:00 PM, as well as during special events. Responsibilities include greeting the public, safeguarding artifacts, and sharing knowledge about Clayton’s history; training is provided for all volunteers.

Help with building and repairing fences and shelters, planting and maintaining gardens for food and enrichment, and general upkeep of the sanctuary grounds.

Assist with organizing fundraising events, educational programs, and tours. Help with set-up, registration, and activities during events, and promote sanctuary events through social media and community outreach.

Assist with feeding and watering animals, cleaning stalls and paddocks, grooming, and providing enrichment for the animals. Volunteers will also assist with medical care under supervision.

Support outreach efforts by sending emails and making phone calls to encourage support and build relationships with local businesses. Assist with grant writing and social media content creation.
