We are in great need of people who want to train to become EMT’s and/or people who would like to become firefighters. Volunteers are essential to our success as an emergency services agency. We are looking for people who are willing to receive in-depth training to become a professional in the volunteer field. These men and women will work on a frequent basis with our existing team of volunteers, and will respond on every type of alarm our District receives. The number of available volunteers has a direct impact on the time it takes us to respond to an emergency. The more available volunteers we have the less time it takes for us to respond to an area. Few jobs offer the opportunity to save a life All kinds of Volunteers needed You don’t have to be able to fight fires to volunteer. The fire district is also looking for non-combat volunteers as well. Do you have a passion or specialty in computers, public education, small engine or tool repair, etc? Or maybe you would be interested in helping with the fire district auxiliary, they bring out food & refreshments to the firefighters at the scene of a large emergency. If so we would love to have you as a community volunteer for our fire district. If this describes characteristics or interests you possess, call us or drop in. We at South Pend Oreille Fire & Rescue would like to meet with you! | Requirements: Must pass a background check and have a valid drivers license.
