Assist with transporting animals from one location to another, ensuring their safe and timely arrival.

Assist with walking dogs currently housed in the Clubhouse for bathroom breaks and outdoor enrichment. This role is crucial for the well-being and happiness of the animals.

Feed the sanctuary pigs at the rescue property, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and care.

Help with feeding and cleaning kennels for any cats, dogs, and small animals currently housed in the Clubhouse. This ensures a clean and healthy environment for the animals.

Visit cats at the Waynesville Petsmart adoption center to provide socialization and playtime. Includes basic cleanup and providing fresh food and water.

Create and share social media content across Facebook and Instagram, requiring 5+ posts per week.

Write short stories about rescues to share with the social community, pulling content from a gallery of pictures.

Transport cats from Waynesville to the ASPCA and back. Requires a commitment of at least 2 transports per month.

Pick up boxes of chicken thighs from Asheville and Greenville and transport them to Waynesville for cat food processing.

Assist with monthly adoption events by setting up, tearing down, and helping during events by answering questions and guiding people through the adoption process.

Help process ~600lbs of cat food every 2-3 months by grinding chicken thighs and livers with nutrients. Includes cleanup and requires about 5 hours of commitment.

Join the community to help trap cats for necessary vet care. Training and mentorship are provided until you are comfortable working independently.

Provide short-term accommodations for cats and kittens in need by allowing them to seek shelter in your home. All supplies and vet care are provided, and you simply provide food, fresh water, love, and attention.

Respond to fire, rescue, and medical calls of service from home and the fire station. Attend training at the fire station. Normal schedule for training is one night a week for 4 hours. | Requirements: Minimum age of 18. Possess a valid NC Drivers License (Class C minimum). Complete a criminal background check. Residency requirements of 10 miles from fire station or highways 110 & 276 intersection. Minimum certification of NC Medical Responder. Participate in deep cleaning, watering, sorting produce, socializing, and various farm projects. Open to individuals or groups, with specific age requirements for working with animals.

A weekly commitment to a scheduled day for a morning or evening shift, involving tasks such as feeding, watering, cleaning, and socializing with animals. Volunteers will receive training until they are comfortable performing tasks independently.

Contribute artistic talents such as painting, music, writing, or healing to enhance the sanctuary's mission. Open to artists of all kinds who wish to support the sanctuary's goals.

Pickup food donations from Whole Foods on Merrimon Avenue in Asheville and deliver them to the sanctuary. Pickup is usually scheduled for Sunday mornings.
