Event volunteers assist in organizing and managing events to promote RPSM's mission and raise awareness about dog adoption. Responsibilities include setting up event spaces, engaging with the public, and providing information about the organization.

Social media volunteers help manage RPSM's online presence by creating and sharing content to engage the community and promote dog adoption. Responsibilities include posting updates, responding to inquiries, and increasing online engagement.

As a foster parent volunteer, you will provide a temporary home for dogs in the RPSM program. Responsibilities include daily care, feeding, and socialization of the dogs until they are ready for adoption.

The Bronson Fire Department is building an applicant pool for the position of firefighter to draw from when positions become available. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS  RESPONDS promptly to fire alarms and other emergency calls to major incidents when notified while on duty.  DRIVES fire apparatus and OPERATES pump and other equipment with firefighting, rescue, salvage and maintenance operations.  ENTERS burning buildings and ADVANCES charged and uncharged hose lines and APPLIES extinguishing agents to fires.  POSITIONS and CLIMBS ladders to gain access to upper floors for rescue.  Effectively COMMUNICATES verbally by means of two-way radio as person-to-person and in writing through completion of various records, memos and letters. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES  INSPECTS buildings for fire hazards and COMPLETES pre-fire plans as appropriate.  MAINTAINS apparatus, equipment, buildings and grounds.  PARTICIPATES in all phases of training necessary to acquire the knowledge and skills required of the position.  ASSISTS Company Officer in maintaining records and submitting reports.  SERVES as acting lieutenant when so designated.  PERFORMS other duties as required.  PROTECTS property from unnecessary smoke and water damage by using salvage covers, positive pressure ventilation fans and water vacuum.  CLIMBS, CRAWLS and RUNS as necessary to accomplish fire extinguishment, rescue and personal safety.  CARRIES or MOVES heavy equipment and/or objects necessary to achieve fire extinguishment or rescue. | Requirements: You must live within the Bronson Fire District to be considered for a position with the Bronson Fire Department. REQUIRED SKILLS  Ability to respond quickly uses good judgment under stress in hazardous situations.  Maintains positive human relationships.  Knowledge of street and hydrant locations.  Knowledge of dispatch procedure. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  Must be able to lift and move and climb ladders.  Must have agility to climb through rafters, on roofs and crawl through tunnels.  Must be able to open and close valves and be able to advance with hose discharging water.  Must be able to carry heavy loads, up and down stairs.  Must be able to carry and drag hose.  Must be able to hear alarms and respond.  Must be able to effectively communicate, via two-way radio and over the telephone.  Must be able to grasp and safely use hand tools such as axe, pike pole, chain saw, shovel, etc. | Categories: Firefighter

Volunteers will assist in making a difference by using their skills to support animal advocacy efforts. Responsibilities include lifting in excess of 25lbs and working in all weather conditions after completing training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs firefighting activities. Performs emergency medical service activities including providing medical treatment. Participates in training, attends classes in firefighting, emergency medical, hazardous materials, and related subjects. Operates radios and other communications equipment. Maintains fire equipment, apparatus and facilities. Presents programs to the community on safety, medical, and fire prevention topics. | Requirements: Must be 18 years or older at time of employment and have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Must possess, a valid unrestricted State of Michigan Driver License with less than 6 points on their license. No felony or disqualifying criminal convictions. The Athens Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary is in need of members to support fundraising and ceremonial events for the community and fire department. The money raised by this organization is used for an annual scholarship for a high school graduate, provides $500 cash immediately for a victim of a home fire burnout, buys new or replacement equipment for the fire department, supports training efforts of the Branch Calhoun Fire Fighters Assoc., and supports other community activities & events.
