Colfax Fire & Rescue is looking for volunteers to fill spots within our department. If you want to be a firefighter we have a spot for you. If you want to be an EMR or EMT and respond to medical calls, we have a spot for you. If actually responding to emergencies is not what you are looking to do but you still want to be involved and help we could use help with administrative tasks, or fundraising, or many other things. The Wahpeton Fire Department proudly protects about 12,000 people living in an area of approx. 20 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose 45 members are on a volunteer status. The department also holds a Class 4 ISO Rating. Paid per call and Retirement | Requirements: You are required to complete and pass within your probationary year. Fire Fighter 1, First Aid/CPR, Hazmat, NIMS 100,200,700, Auto Extrication, and Courage to Be Safe. Volunteer with Valley Senior Services by helping deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors at their homes in your local community. Volunteers receive a route with detailed driving and delivery instructions, with an average of 8-12 stops per route.
