All Firefighters start out on probation where they will be trained in all aspects of firefighting, first aid, and rescue technics. Including driving and operating fire engines. Volunteers have a monthly association meeting and 3 fire training sessions a month on Thursdays. For new Firefighters, training is also held every other Monday on the basics. There is a significant amount of time and training needed to teach the modern firefighting tactics and learn how to be safe while engaging in an exciting and dangerous profeesion. But the rewards of helping your neighbors and friends, knowing what to do in an emergency situation is extremely satisfying and rewarding.
