EMS personnel need to a be at a minimum of Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic or be willing to get certified within 1 year. If you are interested in both aspects, you will need to start out as either Firefighter or EMS personnel first and then we will help you expand your training. The work and training are difficult, the commitment is required but the rewards are immeasurable. The Gilmanton Fire Department is a combination, career/ call department that responded to 777 calls in 2022. We train regularly and are proud of the service we provide to our community. Your equipment will be provided, and you can receive hourly call pay which will depend on your experience and certifications.
