The City of Mayflower Fire/Rescue Department is seeking volunteers for our busy fire department. Our department is averaging nearly 1,000 calls for service a year in the largest Fire District in Faulkner County and we need your help to answer those calls. (3 hours per module) These are the minimum educational requirements to complete your 6 month probationary period with the department. However this education is just the beginning. All firefighters will be strongly encouraged to continue their education and complete their Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certifications. As a Probationary VFF you will be expected to respond to 50% of all paged emergencies and meet all training meetings. Our training nights are every other Thursday and start at 1830 and usually last a few hours. You will also be expected to complete your probationary firefighter JPR sheet which consists of skills and tasks that all OGFD members are expected to perform. At the conclusion of your six month probationary period all members will vote on whether to make you a full member at the next training meeting following the conclusion of your six months with the department. | Categories: Firefighter, EMT
