In 2019 the members of Lower Saucon Fire Rescue dedicated over 4,050 hours of responding to emergency calls, training, and performing equipment and station maintenance. We responded to 705 calls. The members of Lower Saucon Fire Rescue are highly trained in multiple areas of emergency response, not just firefighting including vehicle and special vehicle rescue, hazardous materials, emergency medical care, incident command, rope rescue, and water rescue. We operate 3 stations - 3 Engines, 2 Tenders, 1 Heavy Rescue, 2 Brush Trucks, 1 Ladder Tower, 1 Traffic Unit, 2 Command, and 1 Utility truck. The mission of Lower Saucon Fire Rescue is to save lives and protect property through emergency medical service, fire, and rescue response and fire prevention. We respond immediately when any member of our community needs help with professional, effective and compassionate service. Assist in expanding our genealogy archives by contributing information on Knauss Family descendants or other founding families of Emmaus. This role involves documenting and cataloging genealogical data.

Help us decorate the Knauss Homestead for the holiday season by hanging lights, setting up trees, and creating a festive atmosphere. Volunteers will be rewarded with baked goods and warm apple cider.

Lead a committee to support various school initiatives, providing guidance and coordination for committee members. Responsibilities include organizing meetings and overseeing project progress.

Assist in organizing and staffing various school events such as Fall Fest, Trunk or Treat, BINGO, Skate Nights, and the QE Carnival. Volunteers help set up, manage activities, and ensure events run smoothly.

Organize and coordinate fundraising efforts to support school programs, including managing fundraising events and recruiting volunteers. Volunteers will work on planning and executing fundraising strategies.

Volunteer firefighters are needed in our community. Junior firefighters 14-17, firefighters and fire police 18 and over. Don’t just live in the community serve our community. We are 100% volunteer and help is needed more then ever. Stop by the station on Broad street Monday nights between 6:30-7pm to ask questions, tour the station and pick up an application to join. | Requirements: No previous experience is required.
