Responding to emergency calls is only one part of being a member of the Town Line Volunteer Fire Department. Keeping skills sharp requires hours of dedicated training. All of our firefighters must go through a state certification process and maintain the required annual training. Our members also each take a part in the day-to-day operations of the department including vehicle and equipment inventory and maintenance, building and grounds upkeep, committee work, public relations events, and more. Benefits include: - FREE annual physical - FREE CPR/First Aid Training - $750 payment when you finish initial NYS fire training - $1,250 payment when you finish NYS interior firefighter training - Earn up to $800 per month retirement when you turn 62 - FREE EMT training - FREE gym membership - Property tax credits - FREE uniforms - Rewarding pride in oneself when you are able to help others | Requirements: No previous experience or qualifications are required. No one is expected to walk into the firehouse and know how to operate a fire truck, pull hose, cut a patient out of a wrecked car, or bandage a wound.
