Even if you have no experience in emergency services, we provide robust training that will give you the confidence to work as part of our team. | Requirements: To be a firefighter, you must be over 18 and you must be willing to make time for the fire department. That means attending weekly trainings and participating in department operations. We require 24 hours of training per year for all active members. We conduct trainings on Tuesday evenings. All training and equipment is provided for free. Firefighting and rescue operations are physically demanding, and require a high degree of fitness. But if you are not very fit or are physically disabled in some way, don't count yourself out! There are many valuable roles in the fire service that might be a good fit for you.
