Volunteers assist food bank staff with on-site set-up and preparation, and help neighbors as they enter the Mobile Food Pantry, shop aboard, and depart. Volunteers are crucial in providing lean proteins, fresh produce, shelf-stable food, and basic necessities to those in need.

Individual volunteers aged 18 and older are welcome to join the sorting line to sort canned food and produce/perishable foods for distribution to pantries and on-site feeding agencies. Volunteers must be physically able to stand for two-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.

Organize a food drive by bringing together your workplace, community, or circle of friends to collect food for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. Use provided tips, posters, and instructions to ensure a successful drive.

Assist with the daily care of cats including feeding, cleaning, and socializing. Volunteers help ensure the well-being of the cats and prepare them for adoption.

Assist in organizing and managing a blood drive event at Garry’s Grill. Volunteers will help with setup, registration, and guiding donors through the donation process.
