The Crozet Volunteer Fire Department depends on community members to volunteer their time to fulfill the mission of the department. As such, we are always seeking new members. We'll put you through the training to make you into the firefighter and/or community helper that you wish to become. We have several different roles for a volunteer to fill. Engage in local policy discussions related to conservation and land use. Volunteers educate the public about current issues and ensure their voices are heard through activities like circulating petitions and speaking at community meetings.

Assist with clerical tasks such as mailings, data entry, and preparing materials for meetings. Some tasks may require special skills or minimal experience.

Help with planning, set-up, and clean-up of events. Volunteers may also assist with greeting guests, ticket sales, and staffing booths at festivals and fairs.

Participate in outdoor projects such as trail maintenance, tree plantings, and stream restoration. Volunteers may also help with bird counting and leading hikes.
