If you are interested in volunteering with our department, you must have at least a 36 hour fire volunteer certification. If you are interested in becoming a Junior Firefighter, you must attend a school in Fairfield County be at least 14 years of age with parental consent. You must also have transportation to and from the station. We will not transport you. Volunteers are needed for various roles at the PorchROKR festival, including set-up, merchandise sales, information booth assistance, stage assistance, and tear-down. Volunteers will help ensure the smooth operation of the festival and provide a welcoming environment for attendees.

Volunteers coordinate and develop strategic goals for the Dream Kit initiative, helping young women in the Foster Care System overcome barriers.

Volunteers can join one of the board committees such as Governance, Fund Development, or Finance to help drive the mission of Limitless Ambition and provide strategic oversight.

Volunteers assist with event planning, marketing, and sponsorships for women's empowerment events, including the Ladies of Legacy Fundraising Gala.

Volunteers assist with Social Media Management, Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, and Website Maintenance to support Limitless Ambition's outreach efforts.

Volunteers serve as Program Facilitators, help with curriculum development, and establish community partnerships for the Purposely Chosen program for teen girls.

Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including basic construction and installations.

Perform housekeeping duties and routine cleaning to ensure a pleasant, healthy, and safe living environment. Shop and run errands, stock and inventory food and household supplies.

Maintain lawn, gardens, annual and perennial beds, patios, pavilion, outdoor areas, water features, and exterior buildings.

Provide music to residents and visitors, enhancing their experience with live performances.

Perform routine pet duties such as pet walking, grooming, and shopping for supplies. Provide companionship to residents' animals.

Assist with data entry, filing, record keeping, mailings, and other clerical projects. Help with the creation of brochures, PowerPoint presentations, invitations, and other publications.

Provide a nourishing home-cooked meal to guests, enhancing their dining experience with quality food.

Assist with the planning and coordination of events, fundraisers, volunteer events, and memorial services. Schedule and assist with campus use by community groups.

Perform hair care and styling, as well as nail care such as filing and applying nail polish for residents.

Provide emotional and spiritual support and hospitality to guests, family, and visitors. Read aloud and participate in supportive activities with guests and families.

Assist staff caregivers with resident personal needs and interventions according to the plan of care. Maintain guests’ bedrooms/bathrooms and observe Grace House Standards of Care.

Provide pet therapy visits to residents and guests.
