Garden Stewards assist in maintaining the beauty and sustainability of the gardens. Volunteers will work alongside horticulturists and designers, gaining hands-on experience in gardening and plant care.

Provide temporary housing for homeless cats until permanent, loving homes can be found. Foster parents provide love, food, litter, and supplies, while Town Cats covers veterinary care costs.

Provide assistance transporting animals to veterinary appointments and spay/neuter clinics.

Improve the lives of un-owned cats in the community by trapping, providing spay/neuter and vaccination, feeding, and providing cold winter shelters.

Help at events by being at the Town Cat’s booth, talking to visitors, answering questions, selling products, and running raffles. Care for cats present at events by providing water, food, and litter clean-up.

Generate and maintain media contacts, write press releases, maintain social media sites, and promote events to support the Town Cats mission.

Create items to be sold at events or used by fosters. Engage in crocheting, knitting, sewing, and other crafts to support the mission.

Maintain mailing, donor, and supporter lists; handle correspondence, thank you cards, and donation acknowledgements; schedule meetings and take notes.

Take photographs and design printed materials to advertise special events and ongoing efforts to find support for our mission and homes for our animals.

Provide general support to foster parents by helping socialize cats, feeding, and cleaning litter boxes.

Plan short-term and long-term fundraising events and write grants to fund specific projects. Bring fresh ideas to support the mission.

Stranding response volunteers assist with the National Aquarium's regional field response to emergency events involving marine mammals and sea turtles. They provide care, ensure animal welfare, and may assist with medical procedures and animal releases.

Seal steward volunteers monitor resting seals along the Atlantic Coast, ensuring public safety and providing educational information about seals and the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
