The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department consists of three positions, Firefighter, Fire Ground Support, and Fire Police. Join our kitchen team to help with produce prepping. No cooking skills required. Shifts involve washing, cutting, peeling, slicing, dicing, and chopping rescued produce.

Help set up the SCF Market by sorting through boxes of rescued foods and adding fresh produce, dairy, meats, and dry goods into each family’s nutrition boxes.

Sort through donations of rescued food and repack the boxes, which are distributed to partner organizations. This is a critical step in our process.

Assist in our kitchen with hands-on prepping and cooking meals, as well as packaging and cleaning up. Shifts are available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings.
