Volunteers support various outreach and promotional activities for the festival. This can include assisting at farmers' markets, the annual Bard-B-Q fundraiser, and concerts, as well as general marketing efforts to engage the community.

Support the lighting crew in setting up and operating stage lighting equipment. This includes hanging and focusing lights, running cables, and assisting with technical cues during rehearsals and performances.

Production Assistants work alongside the backstage staff to support various aspects of theatre production. Responsibilities may include general stage support, prop management, and assisting technical teams with daily tasks.

Wardrobe Assistants manage costumes during performances, assisting actors with changes and ensuring garments are clean and repaired. This role is crucial for smooth show execution and maintaining costume integrity.

Support the hair and makeup team in preparing performers for stage. This includes assisting with wig styling, applying theatrical makeup, and ensuring all actors are ready for their cues and appearances.

Assist the lead costumer with various tasks related to costume production, maintenance, and organization. This can involve fabric preparation, minor alterations, and inventory management for theatrical wardrobes.

Costume Drapers assist in the creation and fitting of theatrical costumes, working with patterns and fabrics. This role requires attention to detail and a passion for costume design and construction for stage productions.

Assist with dog assessments at shelters and dog-to-dog introductions. Requires a reliable vehicle and relevant experience in the dog industry.

Provide transport for animals to/from vet appointments and shelters. Drives are needed daily between Davis, Sacramento, Bay Area, Modesto, and Fresno. Must have a valid CA driver's license.

Conduct remote interviews with potential adopters, reviewing applications and conducting Zoom calls. Requires experience in fostering or working in shelters/rescues.

Capture photos and videos of adoptable animals for online marketing. Event photographers are also needed to promote HFP and animal rescue efforts.

Design merchandise such as tees, stickers, and promotional materials. Help create advertisements and flyers to support the rescue's mission.

Participate in numerous events throughout the year, often held in collaboration with local businesses. Volunteers help handle animals and interact with participants. Commitment to 3+ events per year is preferred.

Assist in the organization and facilitation of hands-on art workshops, including mosaic, candle making, and coffee painting. Volunteers will help set up materials, guide participants, and ensure a smooth workshop experience.

Work with professional staff and the board to identify and secure financial opportunities such as grants and scholarships for students. This role involves strategic planning and execution of fundraising activities.

Provide participants with an in-depth opportunity to personalize weekly lessons. Volunteers should be knowledgeable in the subject matter and able to assist participants in applying lessons to their lives.
