To become a Firefighter with the Dayton Fire Department we need able bodies, willing minds and a whole lot of heart! Firefighter duties include but are not limited to: Structural fire response Field/grass fire response Accident scene response Assisting medical response Station and Equipment Maintenance Membership Process: Interview with Chief(s) Fill out application Attend Business Meeting – Group Introductions, Department Voting 6mo probationary period. Expectations: Attend scheduled business meeting 1st Tuesday of the Month.
