Bancroft Community Fire Dept
It is the mission of Bancroft Fire Department to preserve and protect life and property resulting from fire, medical emergencies, and other disasters. We accomplish our mission through prevention, education, fire suppression, and other activities. We have two pumper trucks, three tanker trucks, and one quick response brush truck. Our firefighters are trained in structure and wildland fire suppression, hazmat and rescue at operations level, basic life support, vehicle extrication, ice and water rescue, traffic incident management, confined space, and grain bin rescues. Bancroft Fire Department serves an area of 100 square miles and 1,500 people. Our fire department maintains mutual aid agreements with 20 neighboring fire departments which enlarges our protection area by 1,490 square miles and 17,500 people. The Bancroft Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking willing volunteers to join our team of firefighters and first responders. Firefighter duties include but are not limited to structural fire response, field fire response, vehicle accident extrication and scene control, assisting with EMS calls when needed, station and equipment maintenance, and helping with all fundraising activities.
