The Lowell Rural Fire Protection District serves 23 square mile area that includes the City of Lowell and rural communities of Fall Creak and Unity. The district boundaries surround Fall Creek Reservoir and includes the northern shoreline of Dexter Reservoir. The district provides structural and wildland fire suppression, EMS first response at the ALS level, vehicle extrication, water rescue, low to high angle rescue and HazMat first response. District personnel provide fire and EMS safety public education programs for all ages and provides fire and life safety commercial inspection and plans review. | Requirements: Volunteer Firefighter - Resident of the Lowell Fire District Interested in fighting fire and responding to community emergencies. Willing to contribute time and energy to community through district activities. Must attend initial firefighter training and attend 75% of weekly district training sessions . Maintain all training requirements for weekly drill attendance . Volunteer Intern Firefighter/EMT - Non-resident of Lowell Fire District Must satisfy all requirements of Volunteer Firefighter or EMS Responder except residency. Must complete required training. Must staff duty shift of 8 hours per week, week days and 48 hours per month weekend duty. Resident Volunteer Firefighter/EMT Must satisfy all requirements of Volunteer Firefighter.
