Pikeville Vol Fire Dept
Pikeville Volunteer Fire Department is a small volunteer department organized under the City of Pikeville municipal government, but rivals many large and well-known departments when it comes to our gear, equipment, and apparatus. All our personnel are 100% volunteer who volunteer their time to serve the community. On average we have approximately 25 volunteers who have unique backgrounds that complement our departments needs including Hazmat, FFII, AEMTS, Paramedics, and Doctor. PVFD operates from one recently remodeled station to include new training areas, dayroom, offices, restrooms, and kitchen for member use. Three state of the art apparatuses are the heart of our response, equipped with many tools and features to not only fight fire but also provide technical rescue. Along with this, we house the Sequatchie Valley Mutual Aid Association Fire Safety Trailer to be used for various public events and with local schools. PVFD is quickly growing and will soon be adding an additional annex station to house a recently purchased 115' ladder truck, and a technical rescue apparatus. In addition to this, we hope to add a UTV for search and rescue and fire response in the later part of 2022. Come grow with us as we set the stage for our next twenty five years. | Requirements: While we do not have any requirement regarding fire training or experience, we are willing to cover the cost of on-site training, TFACA training, and other agency training.
