Earlville Fire Protection District is always looking for volunteers. The Fire Division is volunteer/paid per call. The Ambulance Division has full time positions available 6am-6pm on a 2 days on, 2 days off cycle and volunteer/paid per call 6p-6a. | Requirements: No experience or training is needed for firefighters. Help us grow and reach even more children with the gift of reading by becoming a volunteer. Your time and effort can make a lifelong impact on a child’s future by supporting programs like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Assist clients with shopping during designated hours, help them get food to their cars, and organize donations. Volunteers are needed on the first and third Saturday mornings and the following Monday evenings.

Package and transport healthy snacks and food items to local schools and the Hinckley Library when supplies are low. This occurs on various dates and times.

Help unpack food deliveries from the Northern Illinois Food Bank and stock shelves in the pantry. This occurs on the first Friday of each month.

Groups can volunteer to help with stocking shelves, packing groceries, sorting donations, shopping, picking up donations, and assisting with monthly deliveries and distributions.

Pick up food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank in DeKalb and transport it to Waterman. This takes place on the first and third Monday of each month.

As a Patient Care Volunteer, you will visit patients in nursing homes or private homes, providing companionship and a listening ear. This role is crucial for offering emotional support to those in hospice care.

In the Music Memory program, you will work with Alzheimer’s patients to communicate through music. This role helps patients find renewed meaning in their lives through personalized musical experiences.

As an Administrative Support Volunteer, you will provide office support for the Unity Hospice team. Tasks may include organizing mailings, computer work, and creating care packets to assist in the daily operations of the hospice.
