Volunteers create and distribute posters to promote dog park events and general information. They are responsible for distributing posters to 3-5 locations in Falmouth and surrounding towns.

Volunteers staff information tables at park events, answer questions about the park, and sell merchandise. Events are held throughout the year to raise funds and promote park awareness.

Volunteers visit the park to empty waste containers, sweep concrete and bench areas, and ensure the park is clean. This role requires about 15-20 minutes per visit, and volunteers can decide how many visits they make per month.

Volunteers provide transportation to stores, medical or other personal appointments, and social events. This role is crucial in helping members stay connected with the community and live safely and comfortably in their own homes.

Help members set up or understand electronics such as computers, cell phones, tablets, wearable devices, remote controls, or thermostats. This role is vital in ensuring members remain connected and independent.

Volunteers assist with various tasks in members' homes, including gardening, reading, walking together, and helping with light home maintenance like changing smoke detector batteries or organizing closets.

Assist in planning and staffing major events such as the Woods Hole Trad Stroll, Arts Alive, and Jazztober. Volunteers can also help with fundraising, publicity, and event coordination.

Serve on committees such as Fundraising, Education, Promotion, Events, or Membership. Assist with event permitting, paperwork, and promotional material design.

Videotape and photograph events, assist with ArtsFalmouth Presents productions on FCTV, and contribute content for the website.

The IPA seeks volunteers to serve on its Board of Directors. Volunteers will work with fellow directors in managing the affairs of the IPA and learn about the ponds and the organization. No extensive prior knowledge is required, just a willingness to contribute.

Volunteers are needed to support various activities and programs aimed at nurturing positive futures for children and families affected by incarceration. Responsibilities may include assisting with events, mentoring, and providing administrative support.

The Edgartown Fire Department provides Fire/Rescue and ALS ambulance services for approximately 5,168 people in a town consisting of 27sq miles of land and 95sq miles of water. We are one of six fire departments on the island of Martha's Vineyard. The majority of our membership are stipend compensated volunteers. There is a mix of firefighters, EMT's, and dual role members. ALS ambulance services are provided by full time Paramedics and volunteer EMT's. We use and maintain 7 pieces of apparatus, 2 ALS ambulances, 2 boats, and several ancillary vehicles.
