We go on approx. 500 calls for service a year all over the Town of Branford as well as I-95 & sometimes provide mutual aid to our neighboring towns. What are some of the benefits for volunteering in Branford? Free training & fire gear A yearly stipend of $1000 if you meet the yearly requirements A pension plan An opportunity to help your neighbors and have new experiences Create lifelong friendships plus much more. Also there are 4 other volunteer fire companies throughout the Town of Branford who also need new members. Some of those companies you need only be 14 years of age to join | Requirements: Candidates must be 18 years old and pass a Physical by the Department's physician. Must live in Town of Branford. Junior members can join from age 14-18 to another Company in town to the Explorer post. Company 9 is proud to sponsor a Boy Scouts of America - Fire Explorer post! Teenagers aged 14+ may apply to learn hands on skills and gain real world experience in fire and EMS services, while gaining valuable community service hours for school.
