The Junior Firefighter position at Good Will Fire Company #1 is an entry-level role designed for individuals ages 16 to 18 interested in learning the skills and duties of a firefighter while contributing to the safety and well-being of the Belvidere community. As a Junior Firefighter, you will participate in a basic training program to learn skills and gain an undertanding of emergency responses, fire prevention activities, and company operations. This position offers an opportunity to gain basic skills in firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency response protocols, while working under the guidance of active firefighters and company officers. Junior Firefighters must adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures of the GWFC and the New Jersey Division of Fire and Safety. | Requirements: Junior Firefighters are strongly encouraged to attend weekly training drills with the department to prepare them for the many challenges presented in an emergency situation. These Drills are closely supervised by fire department training officers and fire officers. In both training sessions and actual emergency situations, the safety of our Junior Firefighters are of paramount concern to the department. The Oxford Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire department. We have been active since 1945. We are always accepting new members to serve and protect the citizens of Oxford and White township. We are equipped with 2 engines and a tanker/tender for our non hydrated/ rural areas, we also have a john deer gator equipped with a water tank that is used to assist forest fire and also assist for off road searches.
