The Volunteer Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician serves the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, ranging from emergencies that immediately threaten life or property to routine citizen requests for information or assistance. They perform within the scope of the policies and procedures of the Alexandria Township Fire Department and they perform duties in the following general categories: fire suppression, emergency medical aid or rescue, hazardous material responses, training, building inspections and public education. The Volunteer FF/EMT normally works under the supervision of a company officer and is expected to function effectively as part of a highly trained team. They are also expected to perform their duties under adverse conditions and physical conditions that may pose a high risk of personal injury or exposure to hazardous conditions or infectious diseases. No experience? No Problem! Set builders design, build, and paint everything from remote castles to modern apartments for stage productions. Volunteers will work with a team to create immersive environments for theatrical performances.

Marketing volunteers help promote theatre events through various channels. Volunteers will assist in designing promotional materials and distributing them to increase community engagement with the theatre.

Backstage crew members move sets, place props, and manage backdrops during performances. Volunteers will be part of the behind-the-scenes action, ensuring smooth transitions and operations during shows.

Volunteers assist with transporting pets to vet appointments or transferring them to other facilities. This role is essential for ensuring pets receive necessary medical care and relocation support.

Volunteers are needed to provide food, fresh water, and love to pets, clean kennels and litter boxes, exercise dogs, and socialize the animals. This role is crucial in ensuring the happiness and health of the animals while they await adoption.

Assist with daily tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, sweeping, and basic maintenance to help keep the shelter in excellent condition. This role is vital for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for the animals.
