Perform various clerical tasks that can be completed from home to support the administrative functions of Honor Flight Syracuse. This role is ideal for those with strong organizational skills.

Work at booths during special events to promote Honor Flight Syracuse and engage with the community. This role involves interacting with the public and providing information about the organization.

Speak to outside groups about the Honor Flight mission and experiences. Volunteers must have previously flown as a guardian or other volunteer to share firsthand experiences.

Join a committee such as Fundraising, Publicity, or Community Outreach to support the operations and mission of Honor Flight Syracuse. Committee members collaborate on projects and initiatives to further the organization's goals.

Assist with organizing and managing flight departures and welcome home ceremonies for veterans. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring these events run smoothly and are memorable for the veterans.

The Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medicals Services are some of the most diverse and challenging jobs today. Many people like the feeling of helping someone else, especially in their greatest times of need, and this is what the fire service is all about. Not only do you get to help others but you get to meet new people, people from many different ways of life. You get to experience and learn new things, being a part of something bigger than yourself. Not only is the fire service rewarding in what you do on emergencies but you also build strong bonds with your fellow firefighters. We train on many different types of emergencies ranging from structure fire, to heart attacks, to car accidents, to childbirths and any other imaginable emergency in between. Day or night we may have to use these skills, and very often under potentially stressful and emotional circumstances. The Moyers Corners Fire Department is a 100% Volunteer Fire Department serving our community since 1948.
