Cleveland Township Fire is a full service department. We participate in active fire suppression of both residential and commercial properties as well as provide mutual aid to surrounding areas. We have a mixed response area of both hydrant as well as water shuttle needs. Vehicle rescue and extrication is also a big part of what we do. We participate in cutting edge extrication techniques and patient care. Occasionally we have to utilize aeromedical transportation. In addition, we provide paramedic care to our patients. We operate two paramedic ambulances. Our volunteer staff is highly encouraged to acquire EMT Basic status but it is not required. Approximately 80% of the calls we receive are of an EMS related nature. Cleveland also actively participates in community programs including school visits and presentations. We love to teach children about safety and the dangers of fire and when and how to use 911. There are also several department functions that we host including the teaching of new and upcoming firefighters as well as an annual fish fry and holiday firehouse family events. | Requirements: 18 years old.
