Volunteers greet visitors and provide information to enhance their visit to Green River Academy. They assist historical character interpreters and support various youth program activities during operational days and special events.

Our volunteer fire department is in need of a few good men and women to volunteer their time to become a volunteer firefighter. All training will be provided to all applicants once becoming a member. This is a very good way to support your community and help develop a better and safer place to live. | Requirements: Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid drivers license. Must pass a background check. Must be willing to get certified with training within a year of joining fire department. KY Fire Commission requires you to be 150 hours certified with in 2 years.
