The Van Buren Fire Department is currently seeking applicants to serve the community as a Volunteer Firefighter. Firefighters are responsible for answering emergency calls, extinguishing fires, protecting life and property, operating and maintaining fire equipment and apparatus, and community education activities. Previous education or experience in the area of firefighting is not necessary.
