Responsive and modern leadership and mentoring programs Paid on premise and paid on call programs Initial and continuing fire education is 100% covered Opportunities to learn and earn your EMS license with us Many other extensive training opportunities Participation in local, regional, state and national training conferences A second family for you to bring your family into We are a combination department, with 9 full time firefighter/medics, 6 part time firefighter/medics, and 35 volunteer firefighters (many with EMS licenses as well). Be willing to learn and work well with others. Complete initial firefighter training within one (1) year of joining - State Certified Firefighter 1 Obtain (or have) a valid BLS CPR card within one (1) year of joining Applicants who reside within the City of Monona will receive higher preference, though all applications are welcome Pass a background check We meet every Tuesday, with a short training and Association meeting on the first, training the second and third, and specific EMS training on the fourth.
