Private-Planning Volunteers share their knowledge to give back to the community and reach personal and professional goals. Volunteers must have a minimum of five years of experience in their field to educate others.

General volunteers play a key role in organizing, running, and following up on educational events and private coaching. They support the community daily by advocating for causes they believe in.

Become a cat caretaker at Petco locations in Westport and Norwalk. Responsibilities include feeding cats, cleaning their cubbies, and providing them with playtime. Training is provided and required in the form of an initial 45-minute orientation.

Volunteers will engage with the community by knocking on doors to share information about GBLN's events and initiatives. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a passion for community engagement.

Volunteers will assist in creating and sharing content for GBLN's social media platforms to increase engagement and awareness. This role requires creativity and a good understanding of social media trends.

Volunteers will make calls to community members to inform them about upcoming events and opportunities with GBLN. This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Support the scholarship program by helping with application processing, communication with applicants, and organizing scholarship award events. Volunteers will work closely with the scholarship committee.

Transport cats to vet appointments and adoption events. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Provide temporary homes for stray cats and kittens until they are adopted. Responsibilities include feeding, socializing, and caring for the cats in your home.

Help feed cat colonies by providing food and water to designated areas. This role supports the health and well-being of feral cats in the community.

Assist at adoption events by helping set up, interacting with potential adopters, and providing information about the cats available for adoption.

Foster cats or kittens to provide them with a safe, home environment while they await adoption. Fosters are supplied with food, litter, toys, and bedding as needed. Duration typically lasts a few weeks.

Help transport cats to and from veterinary appointments and foster homes, and assist with housing cats during their post-surgery recovery period.

Assist with the TNR program by trapping feral cats for spaying/neutering and vaccination. Trapping occurs throughout Fairfield County, typically at night or on weekends. Training is provided.

Join Sustainable Westport's movement to promote sustainability in the community. Volunteers will engage in various activities to support environmental initiatives, including waste reduction and sustainable landscaping projects.
