Firefighter: • Must obtain minimum Pro-Board Certification for Firefighter I and II, Hazardous Materials Awareness / Operations, and medical training consisting of either First (1st) Responder, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B). Within two (2) years of department membership, Medical and/or First-Aid within one (1) year of department membership. • Must complete training or be enrolled for training within one (1) calendar year of being approved for membership. Medical: • Must obtain a minimum of Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B). • Must complete training or be enrolled for training within one (1) calendar year of being approved for membership. Falkville Fire & Rescue Department Training & Work Performance Test: • Self Contained Breathing Apparatus {SCBA} familiarization and use. • Carry and/or drag a one-hundred (100) pound rescue dummy one-hundred (100) feet. • Carry a fifty (50) foot section of two and one-half inch (2½”) hose up a stair way and return to the starting point. • Climb up and down an extended ladder in a fixed position. • Advance a charged one and three-quarter (1¾) inch hose line one-hundred fifty (150) feet and operate nozzle in full protective turnout gear. | Categories: Firefighter, EMT
