The West Milton Fire Department is a volunteer department with a roster of 35 members, responding to around 180 to 220 calls each year. Our fleet consists of 2 engines, a heavy rescue, a 105 foot ladder, a grass truck, a utility truck, and a 3,500 gallon tanker. Do you want to make a difference in someone's life? Become a volunteer firefighter and be the one that helps your neighbors when they need it most! We meet at 7:00 PM the first Thursday of the month to check equipment and the second and fourth Thursday of each month for training and business. Ask questions and see if you are a good fit for our department. | Requirements: To be a member, you must: - Fill out an application (available at the city building). - Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED certificate. - Be able to meet the Municipal Drug and Alcohol Policy. - Be of sound mental and physical health. - Not be a member of a legislative body within Miami County or any other Emergency Fire Service within Union Township. - Live within 10 miles of the West Milton Fire Company station at 701 S. Miami St., West Milton. - Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be cleared of any criminal record through a background investigation. Questions?
