Once on an emergency scene, Firefighters and EMS members are responsible for gathering information from witnesses and other sources. The firefighters/EMS members must think quickly and obtain the appropriate information to mitigate each unique situation. After emergency calls, firefighters/EMS members must clean/resupply equipment to ensure it is in a ready state for the next call. Firefighter/EMS members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
