General duties include cleaning litter boxes, sweeping and mopping, laundry, cleaning cages, interacting with the cats, and making sure they have fresh food and water. This shift takes approximately 2-3 hours though volunteers can stay for as much or as little time as they prefer. Shifts can start anywhere between 8-10 am. This shift normally has 2-3 people on it so you won't be doing everything alone, and you're welcome to bring a friend or a teen to help!

Grants and fundraising have been a huge help in funding our projects and programs. Cats make terrible drivers. We rely on volunteers to take them to vet appointments or fosters. You must have your own transportation that works in extreme temperatures and is able to fit several cages. As a non-profit organization, you would be entitled to claim a mileage tax deduction on your tax return.

We rely heavily on our fosters to help us save more cats and kittens throughout the year. You can be a medical foster that takes in cats that need a little extra care, or you can foster kittens. We offer support throughout the entire process so you're never on your own!

Do you like to play with cats? If you do, then we have the perfect shift for you! Our socializer shift focuses on playing with the cats, getting them used to human interaction, showing them love and affection, napping on the couch with them or reading books to them. This is a great opportunity for a family to volunteer together or friends. As our ultimate goal is to find the best home for every cat in our care, it's very important that cats get this undivided attention; you can stay as long as you'd like, it's entirely up to your schedule!

Fundraising events vary, some are in person and others are virtual. You can choose whether to join us for in person events or help us virtually.

This position is perfect for someone who is quick at opening cans of cat food because the cats know what time it is, and they're waiting! We put down trays of canned food, refill dry food bowls, and refresh the water bowls. This shift typically starts at 3:30 but can be later if that fits your schedule better. Kids are welcome to come with their adult to socialize and help feed! We do not have a minimum requirement of hours each month; even one shift a month makes a huge difference!
