Our agency has a Zodiak rescue boat providing water rescue on our many lakes and assisting the Coast Guard with emergency services on the Siuslaw River. We respond with Western Lane Ambulance to providing back-up emergency medical response. We are now giving EMR and CPR Classes on a as needed basis. We work with other departments and train them as well. Last year, we offered an EMT class and gave out 9 scholarships to our volunteer firefighters. We are growing and in the process and currently in an administrative collaboration with our local ambulance service and working towards becoming one entity.
