As a hospice volunteer, you will provide non-medical support services to hospice patients through companionship, emotional support, and relief for patient caregivers. Volunteers may also assist families of hospice patients for up to 13 months following the death of the patient.

Foster volunteers provide temporary homes for dogs or cats needing medical attention or waiting for permanent homes. Training or prior experience in bottle feeding baby kittens is beneficial.

Volunteers are needed to feed and water cats and dogs, clean cat cages and kennels, and socialize with the animals. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 4 hours per month and a 3-month commitment, with training sessions required.
