Stamping Ground Fire Dept
Our department accepts applications year round for volunteer Firefighters. A Recruit can join the department without any previous experience or training. Training towards the initial Kentucky 150 Volunteer Firefighter certification will be provided through our department to those who are not certified when they join as well as on going training hours for those who reach 150 certification requirements. American Heart Association First Aid and CPR are taught to Recruits. Members of our department are not required to be certified EMT’s. Once released to make runs our members respond to structure fires, automobile accidents, medical calls and many other incidents as needed when dispatched by our 911 center. Our department also serves our surrounding community and City quite often for community functions and events. | Requirements: Along with attendance and other departmental requirements for Recruit the Commonwealth of Kentucky requires the following criteria to serve as a Volunteer Firefighter in Kentucky: (1) Able to read, write, and understand the English language based on educational attainment or experience; (2) Not in violation, and has not been in violation within the last five (5) years, of driving under the influence or public intoxication; (3) Not convicted of a felony offense; (4) A citizen of the United States, a permanent resident of the United States, or otherwise lawfully present in the United States, as evidenced by submission to the Kentucky Fire Commission of a driver's license, birth certificate, a United States Permanent Resident Card (form I-551), or other legal authorization to live and work in the United States; and (5) Eighteen (18) years of age or older, as evidenced by submission to the Kentucky Fire Commission of proof of age in the form of a driver's license, birth certificate, or other government-issued identification card. | Categories: Firefighter, EMT
