The Gilmanton Fire Department is looking for Firefighters, EMS personnel and Firefighter/EMS to fill our roster and provide quality public safety to the Town of Gilmanton. Firefighters need to either be a State of New Hampshire certified Firefighter or be willing to get certified within 1 year. EMS personnel need to a be at a minimum of Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic or be willing to get certified within 1 year. If you are interested in both aspects, you will need to start out as either Firefighter or EMS personnel first and then we will help you expand your training. The work and training are difficult, the commitment is required but the rewards are immeasurable. The Gilmanton Fire Department is a combination, career/ call department that responded to 777 calls in 2022. We train regularly and are proud of the service we provide to our community. Your equipment will be provided, and you can receive hourly call pay which will depend on your experience and certifications. We are currently seeking volunteers to join the New Durham Fire Department. We are a small volunteer/call department and are always on the cutting edge of technology from protective gear to EMS equipment and even Drones for operational support. Our department averages approximately 1 call a day. We compensate hourly for Emergency calls, in house training and work details. | Requirements: Must live within 10 minute drive of the station. If you want to be a Firefighter or EMS professional we will pay the cost of the training class and certification fees. If you do not wish to be a Firefighter or EMT we can still use your help. We will train you and get you certified in other areas such as traffic control. When you perform jobs such as this it creates a safer scene for us to work and frees up certified Firefighters and licensed EMS personnel to perform other duties such as fire extinguishment and patient care.
