The work and training are difficult, the commitment is required but the rewards are immeasurable. We are currently seeking volunteers to join the New Durham Fire Department. We are a small volunteer/call department and are always on the cutting edge of technology from protective gear to EMS equipment and even Drones for operational support. Our department averages approximately 1 call a day. We compensate hourly for Emergency calls, in house training and work details. | Requirements: Must live within 10 minute drive of the station. If you want to be a Firefighter or EMS professional we will pay the cost of the training class and certification fees. If you do not wish to be a Firefighter or EMT we can still use your help. We will train you and get you certified in other areas such as traffic control. When you perform jobs such as this it creates a safer scene for us to work and frees up certified Firefighters and licensed EMS personnel to perform other duties such as fire extinguishment and patient care.
