A Firefighter performs firefighting duties in response to emergent (fire, rescue, and hazardous materials) and related non-emergent situations. Obtain ProBoard Firefighter I certification within 18-months of appointment. Work is performed either inside or outside, in all weather conditions, and in emergency and stressful situations. Perform a variety of tasks, including lifting heavy objects, on slippery, hazardous surfaces, such as rooftops, ladders, and steep grades. High school juniors and seniors are invited to volunteer every Tuesday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Volunteers will help with food distribution, organizing donations, and assisting with pantry operations. A waiver form must be completed and returned during the volunteer shift.

Adult volunteers are needed to assist with various tasks at the food bank every Monday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Responsibilities include sorting and distributing food items, organizing pantry shelves, and assisting clients.
