The Downingtown Fire Dept. is made-up of two, 100% volunteer fire companies that have served Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township since 1887. Upon graduation, each certified canine therapy team is assigned a location to volunteer based on the dog's temperament and the handler's preferences. Volunteers work in schools, hospitals, and veteran facilities, providing support and companionship to those in need.

Assist with setting up banners, tables, and equipment, as well as managing shirts, meals, and transportation setup. Volunteers will also help with registration, check-in, and clean-up activities.

Write personalized thank-you notes or emails to donors and volunteers, recognize important milestones, and maintain accurate contact records for supporters.

Participate in event planning and coordination at the Penn Oaks Golf Club. Responsibilities include managing the registration desk, tracking contest results, and assisting with sponsorship packages and auction coordination.

Help decorate and participate in the parade in Downtown West Chester. Volunteers will promote the event, assist with setup and clean-up, and capture moments as photographers or videographers.

Pick up food supplies from area grocery stores and deliver them to the pantry. Volunteers with a truck are especially needed for this role.
