This is for an entry level, Compensation based position. The position will require general duties of a firefighter/EMT or ECA, to be able to function in an IDLH, Respond to Medical emergencies in a BLS capacity and to follow general orders of the City of Godley fire department while mitigating emergencies in 2 large districts. This position is for Station 2, located at 6317 Sky Road Joshua, Tx 76058. This station operates under Battalion 2 and comprises an Engine, Rescue and 2 Brush trucks. Shifts are 12 hours M-F, 07:00 - 19:00 on a first come, first served basis and pay $100 per shift. For dedicated employees, we will carry your TCFP commission and provide in-house EMS and Fire CEs. We are an ISO 2 department, located in NW Johnson county and field approximately 1100 calls annually. | Requirements: Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs and be familiar with emergency scene operations. An outgoing personality is a plus. Must be willing to follow the orders of Company Officer and Battalion Chief on duty and must work well with others. Must hold a HS diploma or GED Must hold a current TCFP Basic or SFFMA FF2 completion, with aspirations of challenging the state test. (FF1 will be considered) Must hold a Current TDSHS ECA or higher EMS certification (Shift work will not be permitted until ECA is completed) EMT preferred.
