Under supervision, prepares reports regarding fire department equipment and/or property status. Participates in the Fire Department's physical fitness program (if established) and is evaluated annually to ascertain the employee’s ability to participate. May participate with other firefighters and rescue personnel in responding to fire alarms, rescues, or other emergency and non-emergency assignments. May perform firefighting/rescue duties, protecting life and property, and operating fire and rescue equipment as emergencies and conditions require. Performs other duties as required. | Requirements: Florida Statutes 633 and Florida Administrative Code 69A-37 govern all requirements for becoming a volunteer firefighter.
