We provide free training to all members and will pay for other relevant classes if you are willing to attend. Ours members do train a lot and have rotating weekly duties around the stations and district. We also have a swiftwater rescue team since our district has the Illinois River and Arkansas River flowing through them as well as Lake Tenkiller at the northern edge. | Requirements: Must be 18 years of age High School diploma or GED No felony record Clean driving record Oklahoma Drivers License | Categories: Firefighter
Gooseneck Bend Fire Dept
Gooseneck Bend Fire Protection District - Muskogee, OK - Muskogee County Fire Departments | Requirements: We are seeking volunteers from a variety of backgrounds, including firefighters, maintenance personnel, medical responders, and grant writers. Firefighter Responsibilities Firefighters will be on call to respond to various emergency situations, such as fires, medical incidents, vehicle accidents, and rescues. Time Commitment The most critical requirement is having enough time to meet the minimum attendance requirements. While we understand that many people juggle jobs and family responsibilities, we have volunteers who manage to balance these commitments successfully. Training and Experience No prior experience is necessary, but volunteers must be willing to undergo training. We provide comprehensive training through the Oklahoma State Fire Academy to ensure the safety of our team, the public, and yourself. If you already have training, that’s a plus! Physical and Personal Qualifications • Physical Fitness: Firefighting is a physically demanding and high-risk role requiring strength, endurance, and the ability to work in challenging environments. • Compassion: Above all, volunteers must demonstrate a strong sense of compassion and dedication to helping those in need, regardless of the size or nature of the emergency. Additional Requirements • Must be at least 18 years old. • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and have reliable transportation. • Must have a clean criminal record (no felony convictions). • Must be trustworthy and willing to undergo a background check and drug test if required. • Must have a genuine desire to serve the community and represent the fire department with dignity and respect. We welcome and appreciate individuals who are ready to dedicate their time, energy, and heart to making a difference in our community. | Categories: Firefighter
