Blandford Fire & Rescue is a group of professional volunteers who provide emergency services to the rural community of 1200 people and millions of travelers. We seek support personnel who can assist with Firefighter Rehab, traffic control, and disaster assistance to augment our current roster of firefighters and EMS responders. Additionally we have an opening for a volunteer who maybe interested in organizing and scanning departmental historical records and files. Help coordinate and execute fundraising activities to support Webb Elementary School. Volunteers will manage logistics, promote events, and ensure funds are collected and recorded accurately.

Assist in planning and organizing events for Webb Elementary School. Volunteers will work within a committee to ensure events are well-coordinated and successful.

Foster volunteers provide daily care for animals in their homes, helping to prepare them for adoption. The rescue covers all veterinary expenses, and supplies can be provided if needed.

Volunteers are needed to transport animals to and from veterinary appointments and various locations within Connecticut. This role is crucial in ensuring animals receive timely medical care and reach their foster or forever homes.

Volunteers are needed to socialize animals in the care of Paws 4 Life Animal Rescue. This involves spending time with the animals, helping them adjust to human interaction, and preparing them for adoption.

Volunteers assist in processing adoption applications, which includes reviewing applications, calling veterinary references, and conducting home visits to ensure a good match for the animals.
