Volunteers will serve an important role at the Jester Park Nature Center welcoming visitors into their outdoor adventure at Jester Park.

Ensure maintenance and care for native plantings throughout Polk County parks. Provide a learning space for volunteers to gain knowledge and insight about gardening with native plants. Share resources and create a community of native plants enthusiasts. Encourage native gardens at home and throughout our community.

Provide a temporary home for cats and kittens until they are ready for adoption. Fosters are responsible for the daily care and socialization of the cats.

Assist Whiskers TNR by transporting foster cats to and from vet appointments. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Join Whiskers TNR of Warren County at community events to help spread the word about their mission. Volunteers are needed to assist with event setup, engage with attendees, and promote the organization on social media.

Engage with the community by being a theatre ambassador, contacting local businesses, or joining the board. Help with outreach efforts to strengthen community ties.

Assist with lights, sound, scenery, and other backstage tasks for summer productions. No experience necessary, just a willingness to help and learn.

Represent the theatre to patrons by ushering, taking tickets, selling merchandise, or answering questions during show runs. Friendly demeanor and customer service skills are beneficial.

Coordinate and develop ideas for special events and projects, ensuring successful execution and community engagement.

Assist in planning and coordinating the Annual Ice Cream Social, ensuring a successful and enjoyable event for all attendees.

Plan and coordinate refreshments for monthly program meetings and events such as Open Houses and Punch on the Porch.

Assist in identifying and planning topics and speakers for monthly program meetings. Help organize trips and tours for members and the community to places of interest.

Provide light maintenance work around the house and grounds, including putting up and taking down Christmas decorations and assisting with building projects.

Maintain membership records, promote membership, and develop a membership directory. Coordinate volunteer activities related to membership.

Assist with maintaining records, developing and cataloging materials electronically, and helping with acquisitions and restorations.

Provide assistance with monthly open houses and special tours, helping to engage visitors and share historical information.

Help plan and coordinate the Annual Christmas Open House, contributing to a festive and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Develop and disseminate publicity items to local venues to promote the Society and its events, increasing public awareness and participation.

Provide medical care at the Free Clinic. Volunteer Physicians, PAs, and ARNPs are needed to support the health of our community members.

Assist during food pantry and clothes closet shifts by acting as a receptionist, client shopping assistant, clothes closet monitor, or client intake worker. Volunteers are also needed for sorting and stocking items outside of service hours.
